How does the Delta standby list work?
With standby, you can wait for an open seat on a different flight. Basic Economy (E) fares are not eligible to make Same-Day Confirmed or Same-Day Standby travel changes, regardless of Medallion or other elite status. *Same Day Standby fee is $0 USD for tickets issued on/after August 4, 2021.
