What does svn status mean?
svn status (stat, st) — Print the status of working copy files and directories.
What does Tortoise SVN cleanup do?
Removes unused pristine copies and compresses all remaining pristine copies of working copy files. Sometimes the shell overlays, especially on the tree view on the left side of the explorer don’t show the current status, or the status cache failed to recognize changes.
Does svn cleanup revert changes?

Does TortoiseSVN support icon overlays?
It’s so handy that we will simply examine the file standing of TortoiseSVN by the icon overlays. Nonetheless, it’s typically occurred that SVN icon overlays will not be displaying.
How do I remove the tortoise icon overlay?
You will see the Tortoise and other icon overlay identifiers as sub-branches. You can delete unnecessary icon overlay types by right-clicking a branch and selecting Delete: Choosing which overlays are unnecessary is your decision and will depend on your requirements. There may be overlays for applications you do not use or have uninstalled.
How do I fix the icon cache on TortoiseSVN?
To fix this go to TortoiseSVN > settings > Icon Overlays > Status cache changed from default to shell. If the drive A or B is used check the Drive type as A and B. Show activity on this post. This is, unfortunately a quite common problem on Windows where the icons are either not updated or rather disappearing. I find it quite annoying.
Why doesn’t TortoiseSVN show the status in explorer?
With this setting, the TortoiseSVN does not fetch the status at all in Explorer. Because of that, files don’t get an overlay and folders only get a ‘normal’ overlay if they’re versioned. No other overlays are shown, and no extra columns are available either.
